
Research Scientist
Bethany brings a diverse range of expertise spanning clinical, academic, and industry laboratories. She earned her doctorate in Molecular Microbiology from Newcastle University, where her research explored the interactions between pathogenic bacteria and the gut microbiota, alongside developing bacterial vaccine delivery platforms for multiple organisms. She continued this work during her postdoctoral research, further developing these platforms.
Transitioning into industry, Bethany joined a spin-out company working in biosecurity, where she specialised in genetic manipulation and played a key role in project development and management. Earlier in her career, she also completed a Research Master’s in Molecular Microbiology and a degree in Applied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Sunderland.
